What are the best places to get party dresses?

It’s for a x-mas ball that I’ve got at the end of this month with the jazz band. I looked around the party dresses yesterday and couldn’t find much, where are good places to look, in the UK and any good website links would be great too.

how hard would it be to make bridesmaid dresses?

How can a short-waisted women wear tops and dresses that cinch at the waist?

I know is very hard to get your talents noticed in this business since there is soo much competition out there. I know that there is an assistant as a second choice which is also good. I’m just wondering if I don’t make it as a top fashion designer or assistant is there another good job in this career run? If there is what would it be and what is the average pay for it?
